Warmer water makes rays more agressive?

I have 3 4" motoro that I have had for 3 weaks. They bit each other a lot. I don't know why, and it has stopped. Two have a couple of good disc chunks missing now.


Oh yeah, temp is 80-82F.

No tankmates.

75 Gallon with thin layer of black estes sand.

All eating well.

mine were always kept at 86-94 with no problems i would cool tank down on summer days when it would get up over 88... only time i had biting was when i was feeding them enough...

Umm its worried me you know to start with it was like scrapes so i thought another ray, but njow some of the disc edging has gone now the fei-fengs out.

salt and pristine water.... rays are agressive fish.... from what was seen in the pics i wouldnt worry its small and will heal quickly

once or twice my 7" female leo has had a bite of the slightly smaller male, just put it down to her being hungry and being a ray. Healed up as fast as it happened with no problems. Maybe your other fish where messing with the open wound and not leting it heal properly???

Thats what i think its looking much better now, fingers crossed.

More active yes, more agressive I'm not too sure.
