that looks cool! can you just go catch em and put em in fish tanks here in tx with no legal problems? sorry never fishd here b4....

You really should check with your local DNR, about catching them as i have no knowledge of texas rules, but if you dont wanna bother with that and youre not really a Woodsy person, Paul @ Sachs Aquaculture can fix you up and that i know is legal. These are not native to my neck of the woods, nor are shadow Bass another kewl native, I got my warmouth from Paul and the Shadows on a trade, Which by the way, i have some or those for trade for Orange Spotted sunfish if anyones interested. 300px-ShadowBass.jpg

These are not pictures of my actual fish, which are much smaller now, but more representative of the species, sorry didnt mean to be misleading. I have just a crummy little camera, and no skill in using it.

Yeah you might want to check with fish and game on that. Im not sure how it is now or if things have changed but I know a few years ago that sunfish were considered a gamefish in Texas and it was illegal to use them as bait... they are not illegal to have but given the game fish tag, they would have to meet certain size requirements for you to have them in your posession most likely. That was several years ago though I dont know if that has changed.
