Word of advice: Lose that receiver cover scope mount you will lose zero all the time and then some. Stamped receiver AK twist all to hell with every shot and that receiver cover will constantly be jarred into a different spot. Get a side receiver mount made for an AKM and have it installed then get the correct side mount to mount your optics on. A good option for the red dot would be a upper handguard with a rail.
Second word of advice: DO NOT wear a ski mask to a shooting range.. That really should not be necessary to say.
I dont think the scope is mounted on it but good advice.

Im still not great at semi's. My dad only has bolts, so only when i turned 18 did i start with semi rifles

im aware of the junky dust cover mounts. it came with it out of the box. it does not have side mounts on the gun. red dot on the cover is my best bet and not with a scope. i had those accessories for other guns but since it had a mount. im just going to put some on for the heck of it. well, id still ask the range officer for the mask. ill do it when no one else is shooting. when someone rolls by ill take it off with the quickness.Pejelajarto;5033982; said:
