that stuff is Meth for fish and out to get your money. If you feel your fish needs this stuff then your fish is a cheater, Not a winner and he will die sooner. U get to see your fish go off the wall for a moment, then wastes its energy by being off the wall, then it wants to pass out and die later.. It feels the consequence not you.

I've honestly never seen any effects from using thai mineral on any of my fish. No change in behavior or appearances at all.
I've switched over to mono clay, which is natural, but haven't seen anything from it either..

Oh man...are you referring to high active thai mineral? I just bought that stuff. I'm getting ready to move my FH to a 120g and I didn't want him to get frightened. This product claims to de-stress them during moves and environmental changes. Not sure if I want to risk it now. :(

The only warning that anyone needs regarding these products is that they are a waste of their hard earned $$$$.

$120 for 1kg of this product. WTF?

Osmoregulatory stress (caused by shipping/transport) is easily reduced by using common salt (sodium chloride) - one of the exact same active ingredients in this overpriced product, and if one feels the need to add mineral content to their tank water there are far less expensive ways to go about it, such as using marine salt mixes, crushed oyster shell, crushed coral, as filter medium, etc.

Don't be sucked in by the FH marketing gurus, or any of the vendors that sell such products.

Your lo$$, is their gain.

Before anyone freaks out after reading AG's comment, increasing the mineral content of ones water isn't going to cause anyones fish to die. If there's something beyond basic minerals such as sodium chloride (salt) etc in these Asian products please share with the concerned readers, AG.

What's this stuff supposed to do? Make them look even more unnatural?

These products marketed for FH keepers are based on ordinary salt, and various minerals, same as marine salt etc. Actually marine salt contains a far greater and more complex mix of minerals.

High active consists 14 types of minerals including Ca Mg Ma Zinc NaCl and other essential natural minerals.

Benefits of using High active • Creates an environment that reduces the stress level of the fish during transferring of tank or changes in tank environment. • Stabilizing the fish faster so that they will be more comfortable and recovers faster from stress. • Enhances the colour and brightens the scales of the fish • Enhances the growth of the head for Flowerhorn • Enhances the liveliness and activeness of the fish • Increases the appetite of fish • Removes the needs for the use of artificial hormone fed to fishes for colour enhancement which will create problems in the liver and the kidney of the fish • Used in many countries to stablise and enhance performance before, during and after sending their fishes for competitions

Usage of High active Dosage is 5 Grams of High Active per 50 litres of water, continue to add 50% of the dosage after every 30% weekly water change.
