The warmer weather is here, and the kids will be out playing in the yard. PLEASE make sure your gates are locked. I ran out in busy street, after a 2 year old today, because the gate wasn't locked.

Also to the drivers out there. Slow Down on the residential streets. Kids are not looking out for you . You have to be on the look out for the kids.

Remember, if there is a ball rolling out into the street, there is probably a kid running after it.
Also watch your kids around swimming pools and ponds etc.. make sure the gates are locked around the pool when you are not around.

Or it could have been like what happened to me the other day...
I was driving the speed limit on a very busy but was the first out after a red light so no cars were in front of me. Anyhow some teenaged hoodlums thought it would be funny to push one of their buddies out in the street in front of me! They were far enough ahead of me to give me time to react but it would have been a totally different story had I not been looking at the time. I was so shook up I just kept driving and didnt say anything!

Trust me most of us do. However it only takes 1 idiot driving fast and 1 kid to make a last minute move. Sometimes there is nothing you can do. At least nothing short of putting a 2 foot leash on your child. And some people when they do that still can't control there kids.
