Washing Machine Spigots... Safe?

To fill my 400g tank I usually run a hose from teh spigots outside and then dump in buckets of HOT water from teh tub.

Would it be safe to run a hose from the HOT water spigot, found behind the washing machine into the tank?

Same water that comes out of teh tub right?

same water... few thoughts

-get 2 way splitters for both the hot and cold bibs (1 line to 2 lines = 4 lines.. 2 hot 2 cold)
- run one hot and one cold back to the washer
- run a line of hot and a line of cold to yet another splitter but hook it up backwards so it turns 2 lines back into 1 like a "normal" house faucet.. this will give you temp control just like a sink/tub..

no need for buckets this way...

I would say no unless you went with chesters idea. The hot water that comes out of there is usually REALLY hot and you would need some way to control the temp.

Yeah, I know its really hot. I fill up with cold water and then add hot water. Usually I have the cold water running in through the hose and then add buckets of hot water... I'm trying to eliminate the buckets.
