2 good sized circulaters 1 on each side at the bottom of the tank might work.

Hydor pumps at the bottom.

+1 or maybe even an aqueon. I got one of those 2400gph powerheads and it really moves some water! I'm not even sure what to do with it, but i got it new for $10 so maybe I'll find a use for it one day.

just get rid of the pleco. problem solved. infact u will save your ray life. pleco like to suck on ray disc

Not in my house. My cichlids crap is almost as big as the plecos. You may get less but still will see quite a bit.

As others have said, aim power heads or place a canister intake low, but even doing this still has waste finding places to hang out around decor. I use a battery operated gravel vac(ehiem) to basically vacuum the tanks once a week or so. Takes about 5 minutes a tank.

I do have driftwood in the tank and the picture of the royal you sent and the waste is the same problem i'm having. I think its time to get rid of the royals.
Thanx for help

It is unavoidable when keeping Panaques, more circulation and heavy mechanical filtration is the only way to keep the water clear. I've also found feeding plenty of foods reduces the amount of sawdust produced, if I don't feed my plecs for a few days there is sawdust everywhere!
