There may be 2 reasons for this. 1 is a water quality issue. Go out and get a water testing kit to test for Ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites. Bad water quality can stunt any fish. Do not get strips as they are not accurate. Get the liquid test kind. In the US we got a kit called API but I'm not sure if thats available in India.

Secondly, your friends fh most likely has internal parasites. Since its not eating, you need to bust out some medications. Metrodinazole is a medication you should get. Good luck.

thank you very much for the reply well ammonia is OK ...about the medication ..that medic en is not available hear .. is there and allternate for that thing... like seasalt ...etc
the thing which might be available

Is Praziquantel available there? That is what you should use for internal parasites.

I don't know if it's the same, but it sounds like it.. they are both anti parasitic. Meaning they remove parasides. Metro will not kill parasites.

Wrong. Metrodinazole will kill parasites. Do not give out false info..

It will treat some parasites like heximita and ich, but for internals, you are going to need something else.

I've tried using metro for internals on a FH, and it didn't work. The minute I started using prazi, he was back to normal.

Metro:

"Metro+ Medication is a highly effective and safe treatment for Hole-in-the-Head and Head and Lateral Line Erosion, targeting infected areas and replenishing the natural slime coat on the body of the fish to aid in recovery. Metronidazole is the active ingredient, and the powder medication may be used as a bath or as an additive to food for internal treatment."

Prazi:

"This is a ready-to-use, liquid concentrate that was developed as an effective way to deal with unwanted parasites in ponds, freshwater or saltwater aquariums. It is extremely safe and super effective giving you rapid control yet will not negatively impact your biological filtration. "

But yeah... I'm giving out wrong information... :screwy:
