Wat kind of FH?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The last time I thought a fh was a colorful male laid eggs at my customer's tank and I had two fish paired up. The only problem is that one laid eggs and ate it after 2 days then the other mate started laying eggs. The only concrete way to sex them is the sex tube, not by body stucture, that is just guessing.

Thanks everyone. I picked him up for $20 @ aquatic central in SF @ about 1.5-2"'s.Tried giving him chingmix but he spits it back out. Are you sure he's a Male?

he is not use to that food. If you really want him to take that food, then starve him for a few days and feed a little. There are cheaper but still good food that you can feed him.

males have longer and pointy fin thats how you can tell if its male.also body structure of it is more bolder then females.

That theroy went out of the window awhile ago sir. You can no longer tell the sex by these methods:

Spot in pectoral fin - King Kamfa males will sometimes have spots in their pecs.

Rounded fins & Heads - High quality female will have long flowing fins and sometimes a small hump.

So venting is the safest option.

I agree with Musha
I have a female that looks almost identical to the pictured fish.
She has laid eggs and raised fry successfully twice and currently
guarding a new batch of wigglers with great zeal, and she has very long and 'pointy'
fins as well.
