watch your finger!

so this morning i was feeding my jack dempsey wax worms for breakfast. he used to jump out of the water to take food out of my fingers. well, since he's gotten bigger naturally he wants a bigger meal. this morning's meal was apparently not supposed to be the wax worm...but my finger! he jumped, grabbed my pointer finger then let go when he realized that my finger wasn't going back into the water with him. didn't really hurt, just startled me...thank god i didn't fling him across the room!

Lesson Learned: When your jack dempsey's get to a certain size just drop food in the water and let them get it instead of having them do tricks because even if their mouth doesn't look too big, it can easily grab the end of your finger!

Once i was feeding my gar, and i didnt realize the tip of my finger was in the water, well he decided that looked good and bit the tip of my finger, didnt hurt too much but did draw a little blood

had the same experience with a gar but i wasnt even feeding him them i was just taking an uprooted plant

My jags do it all the time. They have grown some nice teeth so it definitely startles me lol. The first time he did it I could not believe it.

I somehow spilled a bit of pellets(a lot more when you see it all over the floor) cus I didn't close the lid

my betta jumps for food a lot. Sometimes my fingers get bit as well.

I was checking a heater a few months ago and forgot to watch for my O, next thing i know i feel a ton of little pin-prick like things on my finger, look down and low and behold, the damn oscar drew blood from me. just glad is wasent a pacu, they got some nasty looking teeth made to crack tree-nuts
