"He has a degree in zoology from Bristol University and a postgraduate teaching certificate in biological sciences from the University of Kent, and has worked as a secondary school biology teacher in Kent."

It is sad but true the nature of tv is to sensationalize everything in order to attract low-information viewers.

i do like the show because he does catch some badass monster fish. I agree though Some of the info is tailored to fit ratings and such, but I like him better than the dude from "Monster Fish"... Both shows highlight the same fish it seems...

I like when he gets hit in the face by flying carp... Is that a little justice or what!

I do think he knows his stuff and is a good fisherman (I have seen him set the hook plenty of times:screwy:) and he does seem to respect nature and the fish he catches. My guess though, is the producers call the shots and design the show to acquire ratings and do not focus on spreading positive and factual information. I would love to go fishing with this guy.:D

May i ask what angling news is? Angle = hook, right?

"angling" is like a verb "to fish" someone is angling when they are fishing and a person who fishes is an angler.

Angling news is a news paper that anglers read.:D

I would really love to se a series\movie of the under water life in amazonas. Is there any tips out there? Discus\Stingrays Anything.

They should make a reality show about ray keepers. Then I might actually watch a reality show.
