Water bridge

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I may be able to get a small piece of clear cheap on ebay or something for the middle section. Then do ends as regular pvc. Gotta see what fittings I have available locally for the 3" pvc.

Why do you need fittings ? Why not a straight length of pipe ?
If firtings are a must use 45°

The 125g was made in 83. By the glass shade(bluish tint) it's all tempered

Then this wont work

You should start a thread in the set up and filtration or DIY section. This is MFK im sure someone will figure this out.

Please tag me to the thread. I would live to see how this pans out

I wanna know if his wife has a sister. Mine would file for a divorce

what about the idea of portals or like an open top passageway . probably not good for jumping out though. maybe covered with screen or something? Want to figure out a way for this poly wheel to happen!

This might be a dumb question, but bluish glass means it is tempered? Does that mean it can't be drilled?

You do not have to go thru the glass for a water bridge as long as the tanks are level you run the pipe over the walls of the tank and suck the air out. It will fill with water its the same principal as a gravity fed water bowl for your dog. The 45's are what I was considering just dunno what my local hardware store has at that size.

It is a no rush situation I cannot get rid of the cory cats and bite sized cichlids till march any way.

I guess the biggest thing is me wanting a bigger tank and knowing I cannot make that happen and this is the most viable option I have to get close to that at this time.

The logistics of it are simple enough I can build it with very little effort or skill. But You guys know how bichirs move so I posted it here for thaugts on them makeinging it thru the bridge(which I got). So When I build it next month I will go 3" with 45's and in the mean time see if I can get a 6-12" piece of scrap 3" clear pvc online some where. If I see the polys start useing it as a cave I will just remove it from the system.

In my experience the older tempered glas has a particular appearance to me there is a notable shade of blue in it. Drilling or cutting tempered glass is always a no no
