How come no I me seems to keep water bugs?there r number of species that r free or cheap,u don't need much room, they r easy to care for(mostly)so how come no one has any?

Oh,you mean those kinds of water bugs...when I saw the thread title I thought you were referring to the cockroaches! I have kept various aqauatic insects back when I was a kid;striders, boatmen and whirlygigs but I have no interest in any of them now.

I also recall wanting to keep a dragonfly larvae.I guess they kind of apply here.

A water spider would be cool,I also think some would be great with certain fish,I often used to stock lots of aquatic insects into many of my tanks, they would get eaten over time tho,but were interesting while they lived.

An underwater spider would be so awesome, I would set up a tank just for it without hesitation. Oh, wait..my wife hates spiders.

Maybe if I had something else in there to run interference for it, hmmm

U could make a tank specifically for your wife, then make your own tank somewhere else in the house out of the way, but before u do this I recommend taking your wife out for a romantic dinner and then some sort of activity she will enjoy.
