One idea for you, I use my spray bar from my XP3 and angle it like a sweeping motion to move around some of the debris in dead spots. You can use a weak power head to do the same, just dont leave alot of dead leaves on the bottom. That can foul the tank also. Just stir it up in there gently without uprooting. 2-3 times a month was my rule.
