Thx guys. Its pretty awesome to share this with them. I believe it helped me teach my son to have respect for nature and be accountable for his actions. Fish depend on us to priovide fresh clean water, clean the sumps ect ect not just about feeding them he has a better understanding of stocking levels than most adults do lol. My daughter is slowly getting involved too

I love it that my wife has nothing to do with the hobby, allows me to have my own "thing" with them.

The convos are priceless i'll soak it up for as long as they allow me to. We went from star wars, to WW II, to nursery rhymes and ABC's lol.

Son caught me off gaurd with how cerebral he can be....6 and already smarter than his old man, was asking about the terror attacks on sept 11 (i was 3 blocks away) i totally forget how young he is my wife got mad that i told him everything. Shaaaaat aaaappp !

Jaws, simply awesome video and thread. It is special when what you enjoy can be shared and fostered with family.
I often think my greatest accomplishment as a Bichir keeper will be if my children have Polypterus tanks when they move out on their own ( day is getting close)
Like you my wife is removed from my hobby. One day she actually remarked when I was on this site " why don't you look at porn like a regular guy"....
Although she surprises me from time to time, like when I added the small teug to my grow out tank. I didn't mention it to her, one day she hollers at me hey that is a new fish!

Life is good , enjoy it

Wow i never thought of my kids growing up and keeping polys that woukd be soo cool.
Hysterical at the porn comment. My wife doesnt complain much but did raise an eye brow when dmcskoolkif showed up wirh all those polys a few weeks ago. Also throws it in my fave if i complain about her spending habbits.
