WATER CHANGE

After feeding cichlids how long do i have to wait to do a water change? I am asking because I don't want effect the digestive process eg through up.

I feed in the morning and do a water change later the afternoon or at night.

Honestly, I don't think it really matters. I'd at least give them enough time to completely eat their food.

I usually feed the fish when I get home from work, then eat myself and then do water changes

I've actually had fish throw up yesterday after I did a water change...I didn't know that my Dad fed them right before. The water didn't have any food in it when I did the water change. So, I'd give it a few hours. This has also happened a couple of times before when I thought I gave my tank enough time after they finished their food, but I guess 2 hours wasn't long enough.

Ive fed and with in 10 mins after all food is gone, changed the water. Its no biggy

i feed mine this morning and maybe 5 min later i did my water change

I do my water change right after feeding, during that time the fish usually poops and I remove the poop during the water change.

I usually don't feed them the day I change the water till the next day. although I don't think it really matters.

thanks guys , i think everybody has there own way and as long as it works its cool. I think i stick to my way which is wait a day because i don't feed my fish everyday or when feeding and water change day over laps of time wait 4 hours.
