water change$$$$$

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No water or sewage bill for me ,private well and septic my electric bill, thats another story :swear:

Steal from you neighbors, heheh

My local pet store has several buckets out side his shop collecting rain water..

I live in Sacramento, one of the few cities in CA that doesn't meter its water. Rather, your city utility bill is calculated based on the number of rooms in your house, the size of your garbage and recycle containers, and whether your neighborhood is part of the city's greenwaste pickup program. Total for water, garbage, recyclables, and street sweeping is $58/month for my 4 bedroom/3 bath home. It never changes regardless of how much water I use. :)

my power bill went up a lil but not my water bill lol

i agree. it's not the water bill that will kill you it would be the electric bill since you need more watts on heater, pump, and filters.... i'm changing 600 gal a month and my water bill went from $24+ to $29. approx 4-5 USD a month. electric bill... around $45 increase. :)

lets just say it this way... i will be setting up a 180 gal tank with 2x 48 inch light 54W each (12Hrs), 2x heater 250W each, 1x Mag Drive 24 @ 265W, plus 2x 40W on aquaclear powerhead 70 for additional circulation. At .012KWH you will have an additional bill of 39-40USD per month that's approximate.
