The water coming out of your well will be about 58 f, that is the temperature of the ground.
I would not add 58 f water to a 80 f tank. What i do is i have a attachment to my bathroom sink and i get the water to the same temperature as my tank and then fill the tank back up with the same temperature water that is already in the tank.I have well water so i dont have to treat the water before i put it into the tank.
