water changes

when you guys do water cahnges.. do you just put new water in directly,, then add water conditioner??? or do you have premade buckets with the water conditioner in it already???

also with the python,, i have never used one, but i know its for taking water out,,, can it be used for adding water to the tank as well?

Yes, it can be used for adding water. We have a septic system which we don't want to overtax, so we have one python connected to an outside faucet to remove water, and we have another python connected to the kitchen sink to fill the tank with heated water the same temp as the tank water. We turn the filters off and add the conditioner to the tank while the tank is filling up.
