Hmm im gona go buy prime than :)
thanks
ill check the shat at home depot also sence we are going there...

Kk well i picked up both prime and the outher stuf... I also picked up soem activated carbon and

Bio max:
increases bilogical filteration by 30%
expands bilogical capacity of aquariums
provides place for bacteria to live
enhances ammonia and nitrite reduction
safe for fw and sw tanks

put that and the carbon in the tank poped a scrubbie ontop of it and Bam tank clouds up lmao.. hurray for moving the scrubbie and it putting crap in mytank..
should clear up in a couple mins though

Nope i have to have it in my tank for 2 reasons.. 1 it smells. and 2 carbon isent as bad as every one says.... Carbon helps with the smell of tanks and algee also if u use 1/2 the ammount of carbon your supose to use for your tank it will still take care of the smell and wont cause hith or any outher diseases... the carbon will come out only if i see problems with my fish or untill i change it in a month

also does anyone know what water polishing pads do? i have like 6 fluval water polishing pads have no clue wtf they do.

Are you talking about the fluval biomax ceramic stuff?

Are you saying the scrubbie clouded your tank? Did you rinse it first?

Isn't prime twice the price as breckett (per working oz.)? But it sounds like it will even mow you yard for you. I love advertising.

Is it clear yet?

Yea its clearing up and no the prime was only 9$

also the fluval thing says this

FULVAL
Water polishing pads
clean before putting into filter, should be changed every 7-10 days... psyke ill remove this **** every 5 days lmao

i dont know what it is but i had it in my closet... wont hurt i guess

the scrubbie was in the filter from the begining.. and when i moved it some of the junk that was on it went back into the tank.. but the waters back to normal

if i have scrubbies in my tank how often should i rinse them out?? i ment filter not tank XD

'Water polishing' is just filtering the water to a finer degree. So the pads are just a much finer pad, used after regular filters or they clog up almost immediately.

Dr Joe

.

Yes add those pads and watch how clear it gets. Do larger water changes to eliminate the smell... I like the way a lake smells personally, the smell of nature at it's finest.

well when ure 16 and u have a 120 gallon tank takeing up half your wall and u walk in and that earthy/lakey/fishy smell his u :( smells kinda bad...

So far my emperror 400 is setup like this

In the back is the carbon than follows a nylon giant scrubbie pad that fits it perfectly than is the fluval ****. thats on both sides.. and my outher filter has all scrubbies with some activated carbon and some outher Biomax stuff.. my carbon right now in the tank is for a 100gallon tank when the smell and stuff starts to go away ill remove both carbon cartridges and put more scrubbies in it.

ill probably have the normal amount of carbon in my 120gallon for a 50gallon so :)
