Water changes

This might be a silly question but do any of u guys/girls ever worry when doing a water change u might run out of hot water... like when i do a 50% wc on my 300 i m always watching my temp n even sometimes making sure the water feels right an not to cold..... I mean 150 gals of water is alot n even when the shower was running like a hour before i really get paranoid... Just a question to find out if anyone gets as paranoid as i do.....:)

I never gave it much thought, but I'm not moving quite that volume yet. I do about a 30% change on my 75, 29, and 10 gallon tanks all at one shot. But I'm sure I'll be thinking about this weekend...thanks for that! LOL
 
Depends on the appliances in your house and how much water your useing. When we moved into my current house we replaced almost everything in our home and more than doubled the value of our house. Water heater is the bighest one we can find as weoften have company over for thenight/weekend, so everyone wants a shower lol so large water heater/softener was a must.

Yea Now i put it into ur head lolol... But i have 1-300 3-55 2-10 1-37 an 20 long for turtles i dont do them all the same time usually do the 300 one day then the reat on another.....

I actually looking for a new house at this time... That is something i will be doing the second we get the house (get the biggest hot water heated there is)

hmm, i just use water from the outside hose. when you run hot water from your house you are also introducing stuff that's coming off your pipes and water heater.. if you ever tested the GDH of cold vs hot water you'll notice quite the discrepancy.
 
Or how bout this... When i fill the 300 up it takes like 20 mins.... What if some one flushes the toilet???? In my house if the toilet is flushed it takes all the cold water for like 1 min that some really hot water running into the tank..... It might be just be but i get paranoid when i do 50% wc on my 300 i usually do the wc when the wife an kids are out.... Lolol... :)

my 240 will be natives, so no worries there. cold water all the way.
instead of a huge water heater eli, maybe a tankless water heater/small tank heater combo would work better.
 
I totally keep an eye on water temp when doing changes on my 500. I've run out of hot water before and had to stop filling for 20 min to give my water heater time to catch up.
