Oh yah regarding the water change, i heard from 1 dr. that tap water doesn't have chlorine but flourine. Can anybody confirm about this. I do 50% water change every week or depends on the ph level.

Almost all municipals add chlorine to treat their water. Chloramine is something thats not always there. Flouride is added to but i believe it depends which town. But i am almost sure tap water in your area has chlorine. Best thing to do is to contact your local water treatment plant and ask them for specifics. Or talk to local fish stores or a hobbyists.

This reminds me years ago that i totally did not believe in putting water treatment.
I always got away with it as long as i do not do more than 50% every time. But i got the jackpot once and my fish just drop dead after a water change. One of them was my big Jardini. I believe they put chloramine in the water that day.

You could probably get away with less water changes depending on whats in the tanks just watch nitrates real close till tanks settle in to the new routine

I guess, but everyytime i do waterchange i still add a water conditioner just in case. Don't wanna pay for it later on.

I normally do 50% water change once a week, and that seems to be fine. Just make sure that you use the right amount of dechlorinator. Better more than less. Chlorine is deadly to living organisms, and could cause disease if not totally removed from the water.
i agree

Your water company is required by law to give out after treatment parameters to anybody who asks. Stop at the office and ask, most have a print out to give away handy.

water changes = type of fish, how many fish in tank and anal or not anal tendencies of fishkeeper.

Great idea! Also, if you could find out if your water company has a website, and maybe you could get the info there or request it online...
