Just took a water levels check on a second tank of mine and theyre not too good. I am obviously going to have to do 25% water changes everyday but is there anything else i could do for this? I have a ammonia remover in one of my filters as well.

Ammonia seems like its in between 0.25 & 0.50 PPM

Nitrite is 0.25 PPM

Nitrate seems like its in between 80 & 160 PPM

I know what i can do to try and fix this but I am worried for the fish right now so any advice would help.

Welcome aboard
What size aquarium is it and how many fish do have in it. Also what are the specie of fish.
I suggest you add a dechlorinator such as prime asap. Do a water change asap. Do you have a extra filter with bio media in it on an established aquarium. Do you use the ammonia remover all the time?

You should dose Prime or Safe to detoxify the ammonia.and nitrite.

I think it is smart to do a few small (25-30%) water changes to get the nitrates down. You could even do twice in one day if you have the time. You'd ideally want to get nitrates under the twenty.

As you lower the nitrates you can start doing bigger water changes. After you slowly got them.to say 30-40 pp. Nitrates, I'd personally feel comfortable just going to a 75-80% water change until you got them under 10.

I just did around a 40-45% water change while gravel vacuuming the tank. I filled it back up with a 5 gallon bucket with prime in it. I put the ammonia remover in about a week ago. Its my second tank, a smaller one it is a 29 gallon it has a convict cichlid and an angel fish in it. (I know its suprising but they actually dont bother each other AT ALL.)

Personally would take ammonia remover out and do water changes as suggested. How long has this aquarium been running? Is there bio media in the filter?

Its been running for around 5-6 months. So i guess my plan is to do about a 50% water change and test parameters everyday until 0ppm ammonia 0ppm nitrite & 5-10ppm nitrate?
