Well sense I plan to overstock my 125, twice weekly water changes seem inevitable. So I was thinking about have the tank drilled and hooking up a small water line to it, doing how many gallons per day? I was thinking 20-30. also, where the tank wholes are drilled, doesn't that dictate my water level. I like my tanks to be very full, at least above the trim. any help would be appreciated

125 Gal. 125Gal. /4 = 31.25 Gal. 31.25 Gal / 7 = 4.6 Gal. twice 9.2 Gal. a day.

ok,so are you saying i should only exchange 9 gallons a day? my local glass shop said they cant drill the tank so is there any other option for this?

even with the water slowly being introduced to the tank the overflow will not lose prime?

there was a post about using a diy overflow for a drip system not too long ago, it was the same idea but a little tweaked. do a little searching and you'll find what you looking for

I have done a little searching and did not find anything. perhaps someone has the link handy?

ya, i cant invest nearly 100 bucks though. i already have the PVC overflow, i figured i would need to spend like 15 bucks on PVC pipe, hookup a 1/2" inlet line to the tank, and then run a 1" outlet from my overflow under my house and to the septic tank drain

would the above idea work?
