I saw an IG ad pop up but cannot find it...

looking for a “ice maker” filter that removes chlorine and metals in water... looking for ice maker due to fittings and current water line and capacity. Preferably one that can be mounted

noticed some flashing in tank... I’ve been dripping in 50gallons per day without adding dechlorinator, was told it would not have affect on total volume of 700g’s

saw this on amazon, probably better than nothing, I’ve got he auto change system off as fish are going through salt treatment.

Thanks!

I have a three chamber filter housing with a micron sediment filter and two carbon blocks.

Ahh, thanks! This is what I need... something meant for fish...

Ahh... I’m sure I’ll find it... did not think of looking on brs...

The human one from IG is $200...

I’ve attached their data

If you don’t need a full RO unit you could get one of the ten inch filter canister housing for around 15 and add the carbon cartridge. They are around 10 bucks for a two pack at hardware store.

Sadly not sure what I need, something to filter my city tap water before going into the sump so i don’t need to add dechlorinater

Brs has another one, it says 75g per day. It’s about what I’m running in there...

its $200 ?

I used a simple 3 stage 10" filter setup. 1 sediment 1 granulated carbon and a coconut carbon block took care of the chlorine. I use it currently but I'm on well water now so I use 2 different sediment filters and a cheap carbon block. No ro membrane or di cartridges. I use it after my mixing valve. Think the unit cost me $100. Cartridges can be expensive, on city water with low tds and chlorine they lasted about 4 months before I started reading chlorine at the out put. The carbon block was about $30, I got a big bucket of granulated carbon from brs and a bunch of sediment filters.

Just keep in mind if you run an RO there will be quite a bit of waste water to make clean water.
With just Block filtration there’s no waste but you will have to replace the carbon and or DI resins (if you use them)
I have Well water so chlorine isn’t an issue but I do have Phosphate so I had to use DI resins (when I had a reef tank) I don’t use anything now that I do freshwater only.

Ahh, looking for something I can install inline , kind of like that $30 unit from amazon...

I think I just need something that removes chlorine/chlorimine ya?

Yeah that’s what I’m saying the 10”carbon block will do that for you and will be cheaper and probably produce more water for the dollar. (Didn’t mean to rhyme that last part Lol)
It just depends on the unit you’re speaking of and how the two compare.
