Yeah that’s what I’m saying the 10”carbon block will do that for you and will be cheaper and probably produce more water for the dollar. (Didn’t mean to rhyme that last part Lol)
It just depends on the unit you’re speaking of and how the two compare.

helpful! Where does this carbon block come from?

just need that? Carbon block n throw it in?

Block is a term to describe the carbon filter cartridge that goes inside the canister.
Its not an actual square block.
If that’s what you meant.

Not recommending this particular one it’s just the first one I saw.
If you shop around you can get the filter housing and carbon block cartridges cheap.
Cheaper then a full RO system

Is that to you? Or some random thing you found on the internet? Yes most of what is in that statement is true. Arsenic can pretty much only be removed by ro or breaking it down chemically. My well has detectable levels of arsenic "not anything to be worried about" , I've been looking into figuring out how to deal with it. I've found a whole house rodi unit that is about a 4/1 so that's not bad. 4 gallons of clean water to 1 gallon of waste water. Multiple membranes, di unit, and a remineralisation chamber. The other one uses chemically treated beads to break it down and other beads to remove the broken down elements......ehhh I don't like that idea. I understand ro/di.

Like BIG-G BIG-G said in reality all that is needed is a carbon block. If you get a coconut carbon block it will last longer and is more efficient, but they cost more.
