Water flow for N.Haitiensis

I now live in Panama, it cost me $59 to send a 3oz letter the other day (2 day rush) to the US.
You can imagine what it would cost to send a 10lb box of 5 or so young fish.
To make up for that cost (and that's "if" all the fish arrived alive) packaging, local transportation costs, etc, each hait would probably need to bring $200-$400 give or take.
Or even if you could take some on the plane after making a trip there, the cost of importation paperwork, bribes, the normal $25 carry fee these days, and that is, "if" the country in question allows you to take animals out. May even make the cost higher.
And when I had hait fry a few years back, I had a hard time giving them away.
You've got to figure, if in any large city in the US, of 1 million people, if 2 of those people would really want a hait or 2, I actually think 2 people is being optimistic.

Wow nobody knows or want to know about this beautiful cichlid....this is truly one of the rarer Cichlids of the America S/C..it's a guy on youtube Andy Woods looking at those made me want them more, one of the first breeders I met was breeding Haits he was trying to basicly give me a bag of fry 10 bucks, I loved his female male was nice too but at the time I wanted dovii fastaes umbiis I wanted size and color ...looking back I wish I would have gotten some, but I think the species are falling in my lap when they should, if you start with grade A you have nothing to upgrade to, so Oscars and Jack Dempsey starting for beginners or novice not a bad thing...and it's also somewhat good that some species are hard to find makes them more interesting and sought after by special collectors such as myself and you.

Took me 10 years of searching, and waiting to get my first haits.
One of the guys I gave fry to, ended up with a mated pair, and a number of spawns. He brought the mated pair to one of our local fish club auctions, and the pair went for less than $10, I almost bought them at the time, but was too close to moving.
Its all about timing.
I remember when an adult beani was going for $300, then a few years back I had lots of fry, and could barely get $2 each for them.
