Don’t you have a large tank 900 gallons or so? Lightly stocked?
While it may work for you, your tank is lightly stocked as stated above so youre more or less filtering a small pond. For most tanks a minimum of 5x is usually recommended with 8x+ being ideal

Tank 750 sump 250. Stock as showing in avatar -1 bass. I wouldn’t really say it’s lightly stocked but I guess that’s a matter of opinion.

I cant really make out your avatar in depth but it looks somewhat empty. Not saying your way is wrong at all, just from what I see and from personal experience.. Bass are very messy, and most people buy a handful of them. So I'd always suggest more filtration than normal for them

So your running at approximately 3k gph? 3 bass and 4 wide bars? I can’t see if there any other fish on the right side of the picture lol. To me you look lightly stocked or to normal people in the hobby properly stocked lol...... yeah I definitely am overstocked I have 10 bass 2 catfish 2 oscars 3 wide bars 3 stingrays (smallest fish is approximately 10-11” my oscars) in a multi tank system close to 1000 gallons total volume main tank is only 600 gallons it houses all the fish except rays. So filtration turnover may also be a matter of opinion what works for some may not work for everybody there a lot of variables that come into play tank size, overall system volume, stock size, fish size, feeding schedule, amount of food being fed, media being used, closed loop filtration, sump filtration, sump size, multi filtration set up sump and closed loop (this the set up I use)

So for me and my large bio load and the fact that I tend to feed heavily every other day turnover will always be on the higher end 10x + turnover all day long for me.

3 18” bass 4 9 inch red hooks and 2 11 inch Oscars and yes 3kgph fed 2.2 lb of massivore per month. I consider it ideally stocked tho I would like to add one or two more bass.
