Maybe try some 20 ppi foam in the fx5

Also Have you switched foods or amount of food recently ?

2x FX5's in a 180gal.....

I feed them every other day..... water changes every week 50%. sand bottom. Wash filters every two weeks...not the media....just the blue pads.

2080 have a problem of flow getting bypassed.

There was an old thread on 2080 detailing the use of filter floss around the sides of the media basket. If you search for it you will find it.
I have tried the same technique on both the 2080s I have and the filtration is excellent.

Will post pics once I take some.
