Water Issues

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That seems reasonable to me. Tigs aren't the easiest fish to keep. I'm not sure I have the answer for you but doing larger water changes more often may benefit you.

Do you think it might be a aggression/fighting issue? Any damage on the fish?

what about them not having enough oxygen i just had that problem... just go get some air wands and put them in the back of the tank.

I got two 5" Round Air Stones on each side of the tank and at times the fish move the air disks and the go under the coralinas and they chop up the bubbles to really fine bubbles so I dont think oxygen is the issue. I had the other 2 tigs in a different tank, when thye got big enough I put them in the other tank but didnt last long.

I guess my only option is to do more water changes for now.

All the fish have no marks on them, tigs look like they are alive when dead and so did the Bowfin. They royals didnt even get to them yet.

There is the normal chasing of fish, my NGT is a bully but he doesnt hurt anyone. And when I add new fish in, they dont bother them, I watch them for a while just to make sure nothing happens.

Sometimes a lot happens at night that you may not be seeing. It could just be a stress issue. Hope you figure it out.

Could you try posting the tank's history? I mean where you bought the tank, how long it was used, possible contaminants and then type of silicon used.

When they poop, how did their poop look?
No unusual signs at all such as flashing, gasping, constant yawning?

Tank was purchased brand new, never used. Been setup for almost a year. No contaminents that Im aware of. No flashing, gasping, or constant yawning. They all do there yawn here and there but its not like they do it 10 times a day. Poop is solid from what I have seen.
