I hate to tell you, but two days is not enough. Your tank is not completely cycled.

Between that and the uneaten food, the tank is set to fail.

My advice, since you already have the fish, buy some Stability, follow the directions to the t and stop feeding altogether for a day or so. Water clarity usually means your filter is not yet cycled or overfeeding, or in your case, both. If you can do all this in the 40 youll be much better off. Good luck!

Update- Food situation is finally under control. Between me and the cories, all the uneaten food on the bottom is taken care of. I also have a feeding system of small amounts three times a day. The fish are starting to come up to the top of the tank when its feeding time. The water is still not clearing up. I have put some water clarity from TetraO and it hasn't seem to help at all. I do believe the ammonia is also under control now. The fish appear healthy and are starting to be very active again.
