Water mark your aro pictures everyone!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes it does kinda suck, but is it really hurting anyone. There are millions of aro pics that someone could get anywhere on the web. How many pics have any of you posted here on MFK that were not your own? Personally I post pics for everyones enjoyment and like seeing pics too. If everyone starts posting pics with watermarks plastered to the pic so it can't be edited, to me that would suck. I can understand it though, if the "stealing" of your photo would cost you finacial loss.

Here's mine with water mark

I played around for a bit and found out how to watermark pictures. You can use any image editing program that works with layers, I used Photoshop. You grab the image you want to use as the watermark, desaturate, and turn down the opacity so that you can see the main image and there you have it, a watermark!

I'm using PS 6 element... how to go about doing like what you mentioned. Care to explain which function?:)

Well in the photo editing software with layers, there should be a layer tab somewhere. Open the image to be marked. Then open the image you want to use as your watermark and click the layers tab and create a new "Background layer." It should let you specify a destination so you specifiy the picture you want to mark and it will create a layer on top of your original picture with your watermark on it. You can move the watermark where ever you want on the picture simply by clicking and dragging. Adjust the opacity (there should be a slide bar, 100% = solid, 0% = invisible so as the percentage gets lower it becomes more transparent) of your watermark and you're set! Not sure if this is the best way to do it, but it works and like I said, I'm using Photoshop, CS3 to be exact. Not exactly sure how similar it is using other programs.
