in my 57g planted, i add a GH booster so it has pretty hard water. and spill over the edge leaves the hard water spots on the outside. i also get a 'line' starting to form at the surface. since this is an open top rimless tank, its very unsightly. so every 3-4 days i scrape the 'line' away with a razor blade. gotta stay on top of it if not it will be very hard to remove
currently i do not have a top on my tank, do you recommend it for planted tanks? also if so how far should i fill the tank water almost to the bio wheels?
