Water Problems

Update! I used about 3 times the usual amount of prime and added 100lbs of sand and water is still cloudy but looking less yellow. I rinsed sand and it did not degrade the water quality at all. I could still use some recommendations on test kits. I've done saltwater for @ 5 years and fresh of and on but haven't found one that I like at LFS!!??

I think most of us are using the API freshwater master kit. Just make sure you read the instructions for the nitrate test and follow them exactly.

For the cloudiness, just give it a little time, it will clear itself up, just pay attention to the params and have a little patience, Nothing good happens fast in an aquarium.

Thanks for the Help! Water problem is fixed and I lost no fish!! Lesson learned

I think you need to treat this as a new start and cycle as if its a new tank,
