By the way ,turn off your U-V if you half to add benifical bacteria
Beneficial bacteria, as a general rule are "not "planktonic, they are sessile, meaning they live attached (as a biofilm) to objects like media, sides of tanks, rocks etc etc.
A UV sterilizer only kills that, which flows thru it.
Of course by changing things the OP may have loosened biofilm, but this is not the norm for beneficial bacteria.

I would side tward the mini cycle thought also, due to the loaches and barbs beeing a recent addition. I recall your post a couple days ago regarding them

I would have thought the same thing but it started before I put those fish in. I think it’s fine now . A barb went missing. :)
