Hello again.
Do you know if water from my emersion boiler (no gas in my flat unfortunately for a combi) would be okay for my fish?.. I think the boiler is pretty old.
Currently filling large bottles with cold water then warming up in the bath! For a 70 gal tank... This ain't much fun
Thanks again

On the inside surface where the water touches, is it all stainless steel? If it is you are probably ok. Might be a good idea to run some vinager through it to clean any hard water deposits given that heating elements build up faster.

What is an emersion boiler? Is that a brand of boiler?

I think I would pass on flushing the boiler with vinegar. Yes, a cleaner boiler will run more efficiently but the scale buildup is insulating the water from the boiler jacket so the water really isn't touching the boiler jacket at all... unless the boiler is brand new.
