Water quality help!

so i set up a 30 gallon yesterday and filled it up with water and sand ( Pavestone High Desert Play sand from home depot) and added declorinator and planned on cycling it the next day. The next day my water was cloudy. and im sure its not the sand because i cleaned it really good, any helpp

It could still be due to the sand. You can never clean it completely. It will probably be clearer tomorrow morning.

k we will see ! but has any one used this sand and i heard of this vinegar test thing on sand and i tried it and my sand fizzes what does that mean

I think the vinegar test proves whether it 's calcium based and if it bubbles it's good.

It tests for argonite in sand which acts as a ph buffer. If it fizzes it's good. If the sand doesnt fizz then you dont use it
