  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It went away. So just make sure to keep the water perfect. The fuzzy is fungus. If you decide to treat it. Just furan but no feeding. Use aeration with airstone. And waterchange waterchange waterchange. Check the canister if it is in working condition. Furan can kill bacteria so use another tank

I did exactaly what you said. Even the one that was near death is doing well. He will have horrible scars forever but he is great. I got to relaxed with my water changing schedule. Thank you for this

Hello; Most likely water changes (WC) will be advised which I agree with. A note of caution about starting an aggressive WC schedule. Do not go to big WC (50% or more) the first day. Build up over a few changes. Say 20% day one, 25-30% day two, 30-40% day three. My guess is this will avoid some possible additional shock.
good luck

Glad they are doing well. Add 1 more canister. Add plan ahead for a bigger tank. I think from the picture these get big. Good luck

Hey. I am really sorry about the troubles you've had. No matter where the fault lies, its hard to swallow when one is an animal lover, especially if one tends to blame themselves. Everyone can fault their fish one way or another but not everyone is grown up enough to admit it.

My sincere advise would be to add more filtration as smjack mentioned previously, and try to develop a habit of changing at least 50% of the water weekly at once. You won't go wrong with that, and even if you do nothing else but drain and fill, weekly feed the fish daily or every other day, they will be fine and healthy. Water changes is the key, not even filter maintenance is of such importance.
