Water seems murky...?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If the tank is cycled adding will not hurt. The water will clear in day or so. Just watch the perimeters.

Its been cycled for about 5 or 6 days. Heat is at 78.5 too hot?
Your tank ISN'T cycle yet, cycle a new tank need weeks, your water temp is fine. No offense but seem like you are new to this hobby, don't panic keep reading and search around this forum will give you handful information to get you through almost everything :)

Note: setup a new tank and let it run through filter for few days is not "cycle" a tank.

Thanks you all :) will finish shaving pvc and cleaning it then will put in in a few days.

Girlfriend said its been cycling for a week and half. I cant count. But yes I am new. Only ever fared for bettas

takes a good 6 to 8 weeks to cycle a new tank. as stated watch perams esp ammonia. I would be doing water changes 3 times a week till nitrates start registering. expect some cloudeness for first few weeks. esp day after water change, do not touch your filters. let them run and do the water changes and test the water.

Like pops said test for ammonia frequently you dont want it to get too higj between wc's
