water smells funny

for some reason my water smells real funny and now my fish room stinks to high heaven

add come carbon to the filters and do a water change. check for any dead fish too

What are yourr ammonia and nitrite readings? Bacterial blooms can be very stinky.

ammonia is 0 and i did a water change ///i did have some dead fish but i took them out now what could it be?//didnt add any new carbon yet tho

also, clean out your filter media, sometimes that makes it smell, and is there any way it could be an algae problem, i.e tank is by a window, lights are on all day, ect, cause that can cause a smell too.

yea the tank is cloudier than norm ///my midas have been nothing but trouble////more fish is the only diff

well i looked at the tank good today moved around my rocks and pots and saw 2 dead fish floating in the top of 1 of the teracotta pots and man did they smell/////but if it is a filter crash how do i repair it????
