Why does my water keep turning green everytime. I've changed the water, 100% water change and after a couple of days, it goes back. i've did this a grip of times and still, the same result. What is causing my water to turn green?

you should never do a water change that large to stress on fish . i would check your tap water for ammonia ,nitrite and nitrate also test the tank before a water change .what lights have you got on the tank ,whats your lighting duration ?is the tank getting any sun light ?

Is the tank near a large window? Sounds like an algae infestation.

yea, the tank is right near a large window.. i was told to move it but some PEOPLES at home said NO! dang, don't you guys that. it has direct sunlight everyday..

cover up the window, my 200 is right next to a window as well so I covered the back and sides of the tank with aquarium backing. No algea outbreak for me, of course I also have an 9watt UV on it too. = /

i'll do that.. oh, and i fail to mention that i bought a new filter(penguin 350) and i have no green water no more.. thanks guys...

yup, thats your problem. too much sunlight. get rid of the sunlight, get rid of the green water!

...and there it is.
