Water Storage Question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thank You Guys

I'm going to use PVC electrical conduit fittings and thick rubber washer to make bulkheads and seal it good with P&L Roof and Flashing Cement. This is what I was looking for. I'm sure the uniseal works perfect and they are easy to use but I love DIY stuff and get my hands dirty.

I'll post some pic of work latter.

I know this is a little late, but are the trashcans OK to use with food/potable water?

I don't know. I have one for 8 months now with no problems, no sick or death fish, and the water parameters are stable.
The only product description I could find is:
  • ACE REFUSE CAN
  • *32 gallon
  • *Injected molded refuse can
  • with lid
  • *Rugged grab-thru handles
  • *Heavy wall construction
  • stands up to sunlight and
  • sub-zero temps
  • *Snap-on lids keep odor
  • in and pests out
  • *Red
  • *Replacement lid Ace no.
  • 7098502
  • *Discovery CON, NBR, SUP
Good point

I purchased inline whirlpool bath heater couple years ago, and I have never installed it. I thinking to use it now on storage water outlet line powered by RIO 2100 pump. It is 1500watt heater, max water flow will be 600gph but I can adjust water flow with ball valve. I would like to know if anyone done this before, if is worth it? I assume that the water temperature in storage containers will be around 60-65F even lower in winter because of dark, cold crawl space temperature condition. My question is how many degrees I can raise with this heater?
