I use a rubbermaid stock tank to hold water
however, before adding to the main tank, i fill into smaller containers to heat, i do not have large tanks, i keep many smaller tanks, so i do not have to empty the whole stock tank for one wc.
it doesnt have to be exactly the temp of the water but i try to keep the temperature swing as low as possible by adding water slowly.
