Ok ... I'd replace a fixture, but I value ease of maintenance over pretty much any other single factor because inconveniences lead to neglect and disinterest over the long run.

Might have to do that..

I also use a hose for my WC's and do 2 80%'s a week and have never had any issues.

I dont have any heating for the tap that fills my fish tank either, so in winter time i just fill the tank a lot more slowly, and turn the heaters on well below the water surface... Temps do drop but not too drastically...

Hello; back at my old place I could use a hose to do my WC. I got around the issue of temp change by doing smaller amount WC a little more often. Say 20 -30 %.

I've been doing hose water changes for years,never had a problem, infact it often triggers my fish to spawn.
