I have a 610g that I set up about 2 months ago. My water parimeters have been perfect exept PT of around 8.28 and 0,0,5-10 however my fish are acting strange, It could just be the large tank but I also have a drip system on this tank that I have never used before. are there any test for clorine that my not be getting removed by my carbon filter. or any adition test that I could due I so where would i get those test kits

I use api master test kit. It was for sale at my LFS. It has a chlorine test in the kit.

2 ph, 1 chlorine, 1 ammonia, 1 nitrite, and 1 nitrate test.

is your test kit for fresh water. I have the API frestwater master test kit it has all but the clorine

Your right it don't have a chlorine test sorry about that. The tetra easy strips has a chlorine test. But there just a strip you dip into the tank. So there not very accurate. But it would probley work good enough to see if you have chlorine or not in the tank.

Purchase a dechlorinator such as Seachem Prime, or Seachem safe this will help a great deal.:)

Hello; The first thing that comes to mind is how long the carbon filters have been in use? My understanding is that carbon gets bound up fairly quickly. This may be the case if used more than a day or so.

I have a 20GPD Drip it runs arond the clock so the dechlorinator doesnt really work. I have a carbon block filter on the intake line that is rate to last 6 month with heavy like whole house use 1 year with light use and it has only been in use 2 months. I just would like to test to make sure it is working corectly. and the change in the fish could be normal they went for a 75G tank to a 610G 11foot long tank some are hideing more than normal and some are swimming more than normal and hanging out around my spray bar
