water turn over rate

I have 300 gallons for the rays + 150 gallon capacity sump.
The flow rate (turnover) is approx. 7.5 times/hr.
Water parameters are perfect.

Personally I think turnover is not as important as circulation. Strive for 6-10 times per hour with your wet dry as they are most effective this way, however use powerheads.

My new tank is 7x42wx30h and I have a 3600 dart pump for ciculation however have a 3500gph vortech powerhead in there for internal water movement and plan to get another. Hi oxygenation and water current are much more important for rays and quite honestly the more current the happier and healthier your rays will be.

one of my tanks a 480 i have a rio 3100 only forthe sump(not much) and the tank is pumping i do have power heads all over though and airstones
