@Dupe I see you run your return to your tank on (it look like 1inch) pipe why don't you change it to 1.5 or 2inch it will look like your flow is less out the bigger pipe but you will replace more water in a shorter time than with the thin pipe. Try it and let me know what the return to the sump look like'
The return lines you are looking at are actually 3/4".
I purchased the sump,canister,uv& hammerhead pump all together it was supposed to come with plumbing to were all I had to do is hook it up.
Attached is a pic of the plumbing diagram that I was given.
Keep in mind that my stand is 3.5' tall and tank is 3' tall making floor to top of tank 6.5'
I'm thinking of getting a second hammerhead and running the returns 1.5" as close to the 3/4" bulkheads on the bottom of the tank as I can.

That should work if you buy another pump see if you can get one size bigger and then run it with the 1.5" pipe
