Water uneven in tank..

Alright.. no biggie, I'll just get some shims and shim it.

glad to hear.

at my LFS they had a 90 gallon sitting that was higher in the back right corner than than the front left corner by almost 1 inch.

well, the tank lasted a few months and busted the bottom back seam.

Just a thought buy a level and make sure your tank is level before filling.

Is front to back as important as side to side? I have the side to side level now but I'm having trouble getting front to back level without throwing off side to side. 48" x 24" tank.

have the same problem just put shims under the stand to even it out

I did.. I think I got it pretty level.. filling it up right now to find out for sure.

Just a thought buy a level and make sure your tank is level before filling.

This will work unless the 960 pounds (roughly) of pressure the water is exerting presses down the carpet pad or warps the floor.

It's fine now.. spent another 20 min or so getting it right.. I had to get my 9 year old to place the shims as I lifted the stand and tank. That might be why it took so long lol.

Anyway, it's nice and level now, front to back and side to side. Hopefully it will stay that way but I'm paranoid now.
