Waterproof lighting ?? options

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hi Again

So after a little research it seems the Fluval Aquasky light is a good option but the Fluval LED controller is an absolute piece of junk. (apart from that none of my LFS have the LED controller anyway and not a fan of buying online if a product may be iffy).

So this puts me in a predicament, i really like the idea of a controller performing a sunrise/sunset and additionally be able to mimic a storm or moonlight etc even if the storm feature was manually started

Any other options for waterproof lights that have those types of functions

Cheers

I think all fluval version 3.0 led lights are waterproof and you can change settings using a android phone which has Bluetooth

Apparently there is a new version that can do all that via Bluetooth on your phone.

Aquasky 2.0

How much are you willing to spend? Ecotech Marine has freshwater Radions that does what you want, then some.

I use a submersible light on a tp-link smart wifi plug. Can do daily schedules like a timer and can control from your phone

Thanks for all the reply's,
Now i know there are better options out there i do want to get more out of it than just a light and timer

Thansk for the idea, i researched a bit
XR15FW PRO G2 certainly looks the goods but at $550 a pop (in Aus) and needing two to three for a 6 ft tank, add in mounting brackets etc would put i out of my price range.
Not sure that these would be ok in a hooded tank either as i cant find any mention about waterproof ratings

Aquasky 2.0
Thanks Jexnell
This is probably spot on for my needs with the waterproofing and controls, would fit my budget getting two 3 fters to cover the 6ft tank (or maybe even one 4ft and just concentrate lighting through the middle of the tank
But i cannot find these available anywhere in Australia, even online i could only find 2.0 in the UK

W Wolfen , cheers
This one hits the spot and i can get it here, none of my LFS have it but an online trader i use a bit has the smaller ones in stock so i expect they would be able to get in a 4 fter for me, Waterproof and fully controllable (for my needs anyway)

I did come across this brand at one of my LFS
Micmol Aqua Air 1200
Does anyone use or know much about them ?
