This is the product from Behr that I used very faint smell, according to the MDS no flash point and only warned of high heat ,flames but I still turned the Hot water heater off until product dried.

Sorry for the late reply DN328 DN328 the 180 is in my basement and lol I'm the only one in the house that goes down there , so it will be unwrapped and probably a sump will go under. My purposes for waterproofing it was due to the humidity, and my fish splash water out of the aquarium sometimes.

Yes, sooner or later all stands will get wet. I just used regular paint for my wrap, but it was more for aesthetics since it covers a powder coated metal stand.

Nothing wrong with leaving open as you are. In fact, if you have a sump it could look cool leaving it exposed. I like the look especially if you go hard plumbing. You could even add a plywood platform or tray for the sump to sit in/on.

Thanks you just gave me a idea for a good scrap plywood I had no use for lol.:)

That would be good use for the extra plywood. Not sure how big a piece that you have left but the platform is nice to store stuff off the basement floor.

Just measured the plywood peice almost 4ft and width almost perfect lol. Iwill either place a sump on top, or place foods, maintenance equipment under it. My tower trickle filter wont fit under there probably just place it off next to the aquarium again.
